Knowing I have never ripped anyone off is enough of an award for me.

Well give me credit for using the right way in 2017,

Right now I have over $6000 in available credit and I need

        a new lap top
        new work pants
        new work shirts
        New bed set
        New shoes

And have not made an attempt to even buy any of those things until JUNE

You shouldn't buy any of those things - or anything else for that matter - unless you have the cash on hand to pay for them. It doesn't matter how much available credit you have. So it is a good start that you haven't turned to credit cards again to buy things you can't afford. Keep that up for the rest of your life and you'll certainly be in better shape than you are now.

If you can't pay the bill in full when it comes, you shouldn't be using a credit card. That's really the bottom line.

That's the way to do it!

And make sure you're also getting your emergency fund funded along the way, too. Once the credit card debt is gone, get that EF up to 6 months worth of expenses as soon as you can.
