  • Doing anything for Financial Literacy Month? (April)

I connected with some financial bloggers (still need a few more) for a collaborative Financial Literacy Month campaign. It got me thinking...

Do we want to do something here? Maybe do a "bring a friend month"? And make an extra effort to post very beginner friendly content? Maybe some tutorials, "post your most influential financial book", "how you got out of debt stories", "Brown bagging meal ideas", "what is your financial strategy?", "what's your struggle?", etc. Try to limit conversation and generate massive useful lists.

Make April our most active month!

    What do you think?

P.s. October is financial planning month if anyone is interested

Why isn't this showing up in "New Posts"?

There we go! making this comment fixed it.

FYI: "New Posts" is a personal display. So if you've seen the thread, it likely will not show up with the New Posts link. But once there are new posts after the one(s) you've seen, it'll be there.

I'm not doing anything for it, but I am interested in trying to find a way to start volunteering with some sort of local organization that would allow me to help people with "financial counseling" or something like that, where I could try to help people get their feet under themselves with their finances. Problem is that I don't know how to find such an organization, or if they would even want my help, considering that I'm not credentialed in any way. Any ideas where to start?

Kork13, it looks like you and I are in the same boat. I started a thread here: Organizations/methods to help others with finances? for that topic.
