I get that, but it says 6 weeks to disconnect and not check in, and that is what we get for vacation. I don't see this as a huge perk if they don't have a decent vacation policy that people actually use and are encouraged to use.

I have a feeling if they are offering sabbaticals every 6 yrs, then they probably have at least a decent paid leave policy. People can't go without vacations for 6 yrs

We are encouraged to take at least 5 weeks out in a row every summer.
6 weeks off is great. Taking 5 of them together is not. I would hate that. I'd much rather spread my vacations out over the course of the year. If you take 5 weeks together that means you only get a one-week break during the other 47 weeks of the year. That would be rough. I would not want to work that long with only a one-week break.

"There is no expectation for people to check in or work. This truly is a break"

This particular quote is relevant to my point because the purpose of sabbatical is for their employees to recharge. There are a lot of people I work with that still log on while on vacation. My DH logs on when we are vacationing at the beach. Several of our friends at the beach are tuned in to what is going on at work.

And like FLA suggested, Zillow most likely also has a good vacation policy as well.
