  • Facebook share and money will come to you

What do you all think about your facebook friends posting something with a picture of a bag full of money? I'm often tempted to tell my fb friends to plan and save instead of wishing but I don't want alienate myself and come across as arrogant even though I know I'm arrogant (lol).

I posted yesterday how easy it was to get 150k with just $100 a month for 30 years. I thought about pulling it back down, but it has already been shared. Never know who might actually see that and think "You know, I want that."

This came after having a 2-hour discussion with a friend of mine about retirement and debt. They got excited and wanted to max the 6% match on their 401k (up from 3%), and they started making plans to pay off several debts. It seems people are listening to me more. That's encouraging.

I guess to your point, I might not respond to the post, but you could rebuttal it with your own post throwing some quick and easy numbers in to back it up. It's what I do to avoid looking arrogant.

I've never heard of this, and Googling "facebook bag full of money" shows some Pinterest pages and a lot about Floyd Mayweather.

      So what's this all about?

I believe his post was about people who post random posts about wishing they could be given money. I assumed this was his point anyway. Instead of posting stupid random things about wanting money, he could post about how to actually have some, but he doesn't to avoid looking arrogant.

I thought it was going to be on Facebook having built in money transfer now when I saw the title.

Now that I think about it, "Facebook share and money will come to you
Reload this Page" smells of pyramid and the old chain (e)mails saying to send $1 to five different people, forward them the email and then money would somehow start flowing into you.

I haven't been on Facebook for a few years now, but I don't think this has anything to do with a pyramid scheme.

I think it is simply one of those stupid chain things where they tell people to share something and good things will come to them. I used to get stuff like this all the time, with various topics. A sibling of mine was big on sharing the chains based on religion.

Hey more power to them if people start posting pictures of their bag full of money vs planking/water bottle challenge/lighting themselves on fire. It actually takes a lot of discipline to save enough for a bag full of money..considering more than 62% of Americans don't even have 1k in their bank account.

If this is the next new fad..let it be. I'm all for it.

Facebook is mostly a waste of time. I only use it as a social photo album of sorts where I can see how friends and family's kids are growing and to share pictures of my two kiddos. Easier than sending xmas cards to everyone.

Most of the "share chains" are retarded and annoying. If your trying to support or bring awareness to a worthwhile cause then thats something else.

Facebook would be much more useful if you could filter out all the narcissistic and political crap.

My friend was talking about facebook over the weekend. He was at work the other morning and everyone was sitting in chairs against the wall...sort of in a line...him being towards the middle. He looked to his left then right...everyones heads were down and almost everyone was scrolling through their facebook accounts. He deleted his account later that night. He finally woke up.

Facebook used to be about socializing...now its just a platform for people to rant or sell something. Not to mention people are more concerned about what everyone else is doing than they are of their own personal lives. What a cluster that website has become.

Hopefully the OP will jump in and clarify what he meant, but I don't think he is talking about people posting pictures of THEIR money.

And if that were the case, it would add to the stupidity of how people use Facebook.

These same people are just as dumb as those who post pictures while they're on vacation! Hey look at me...look how awesome of a time we're having in fiji...2 more weeks of vacation. Their house is now an atm machine.
