I see from some other posts that there were problems with spam, but 1000 posts seems excessive just to see old posts. I guess I don't understand the relationship between those two things. Those spam problems must have been really bad.

I understand having minimum post requirements though. I've been on a few car forums and they keep them in place to keep people from making fraudulent posts in the classified sections.

With my level of posting, I will more than likely reach a year before I reach 1000 posts.

I think people would be willing to pay a small fee to show that they were a "real" user, just to access the older threads. Has that been discussed in the past?

I can access the old threads and there isn't anything there that I would pay to access.

LoL, Ok. I find the debt reduction threads interesting and to be good reads. Not ready to go into my details yet though.

I know that makes sense to not spend money to access a savings and financial health forum - I just looked at it as more of a way to weed out the spammers. I doubt they would want to make a payment on anything when they could go spam other sites for free.

The best way to take full advantage of this forum is to jump right in. The sooner you ask for input about your situation, the sooner you can get the advice you need.
