  • Photo & Slide Scanner Recommendations?

What photo & slide scanner(s) have you used & recommend?
I'd like to digitize photos & slides that belong/belonged to my grandparents, parents, and in-laws to share with other family members.
I'd like something that is decent quality, but I don't need a ton of bells & whistles, so it doesn't have to be the very best scanner.I'm not looking for the cheapest one either.

I'm a Toyota Camry/Prius, Google Pixel (outgoing version sold at a discount) type of gal. I'm looking for the scanner equivalent.
I checked Consumer Reports but didn't find any current reviews.

Thanks for any suggestions you are willing to share.

Not sure how to handle the slides, though I'm sure there are a variety of services available who will digitize it all with high quality. For digitizing photos... If you don't need super-high quality (just basic, good enough to look at on a screen), I'd honestly just use a decent cell phone scanning app (Google Drive, Adobe Scanner, etc.). Even your original Pixel will do that just fine (I only just replaced my Pixel last ~October).

I work as a photographer and editor in a salon. At the moment, it is a big problem for all photographers to find a good scanner because the market offers a variety of firms and does not know which are good and evil. Because sometimes I receive orders to scan photos also for relatives and so on, but our scanner is not very professional, and it turns out badly, so I decided to ask questions on forums that people use. I also wanted to order new lenses and was looking for a long time, but I stumbled upon the lenses guide 2021. And now I know what to call; all that remains is to find a good scanner for work.
