I don't think we'll be giving xmas gift to our son this year (like last year and the years before that). I do give cash gifts to my nephew and niece, but this year my sister mentioned the irony of it all: I give her kids cash; sister gives my kid cash. So this year, we won't bother with it.

My son doesn't really want anything; well, at least he's never asked for anything for xmas.

It does seem silly but I am sure the nephews and nieces appreciate it. Not saying it is a bad thing to stop the tradition, but I do think the kids should be told in advance so they aren't disappointed.

Our family still buys for nieces and nephews but about 5 or so years ago my siblings and I agreed to stop buying for adults. Our mom is the exception. She loves to decorate her yard, so that is an easy way for us to put a smile on her face.

KIds are done. Well, the two oldest. Probably get a little something more for the todler. My wife got a new phone through project Fi (6p, cheaper one not the new pixel) and I'm shelling out at least 1500 on a new real live baby for her to play with

We will buy for some things but our whole family limits it. I am a fan of drawing names. Get one decent 50 dollar gift and that's it. No worries of needing to buy a bunch of cheap ones to make sure everybody has something they didn't want and will never really care for.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you're stupid and make bad choices.

Bought tickets to a sporting event the day they went on pre-sale (almost 2 months ago). I'm giving them to my brother for a combined Christmas & birthday gift. I just checked and the current "from-the-venue" price for seats 3 rows further back are $25 higher.

I just bought DD a Nasty Women Keep Fighting t shirt that she wanted and I'll give her some cash. DS is in luthier school and I found a really cool guitar t shirt so I'll give him that and some cash.

I've found most of my inexpensive small gifts from deal websites for hostess gifts, friends and gifts for people who have helped my family this year. I may be done with those, need to check.

my brother and his wife are done. I have to do my parents.

            I don't want anything

No. I have decided, though, to buy gift cards for a couple kids who I consider hard to buy for in part because they go shopping so much that they just buy whatever they want. Since they like shopping, I'll just give them a tad bit more shopping. I'll see if their favorite mall sells those mall-wide cards.
