a question for the women looking for an online date: do you go with the man in his car or to his house on a first date? my wife and i just got in a big argument with one of her friends, she will go out with men from online after 0nly talking for a day or 2.. we do not want her getting in their car or going to their home until she gets to know them better just because you really dont know who your talking to online, are we over reacting or do we have a legitimate cause for concern?retired in 2009 at the age of 39 with less than 300K total net worth

A simple google search will also pick up a lot of stuff - like arrests, etc.

this has actually strained the relationship and we have not spoken to her in 2 weeks now. she was living with us and i told her that i can not have her living with me and going out with these men. she has met with 3 men last month and the last one i told her DO NOT GO WITH HIM IN HIS CAR. she went to my wifes school and met him there, she was only supposed to stay on the campus and talk but she got into his car and went to his home to see his work on his computer, she drank ice tea there that could have easily been spiked with a date rape drug, she is not looking to "hook up" but in my opinion she is very nieve
once in the car or in the home there are a lot of opportunities for a predator and i do not want any of it on my hands, now that she has moved out i told her she can see anyone she wantsretired in 2009 at the age of 39 with less than 300K total net worth

Definitely a hot button topic for me.
Just seems like parents of young men are failing society and not teaching their sons that no means no. What is going on at college campuses is deplorable.
And it is beyond me how a group of men can all have the same sick thoughts, but that is occurring far too often as well.

This stuff has been around for centuries. There is a story in the bible where this city had gotten so bad a man gave his wife to a group of men trying to rape him. To save himself he gave his wife to them. They raped her all night long, and she died the next morning. Word got out what happened, and neighboring countries came in and destroyed the whole city. That is one of the stories in the bible that makes me sick.
People often have very sick intentions and imaginations...eventually, some play them out and people get hurt. Most will not do anything but it only takes one to destroy a person, even if it's just emotionally.Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you're stupid and make bad choices.

97guns mentioned his wife's friend drinking ice tea at this guy's house. How about the woman that had something slipped into her drink at a beach bar and raped on the beach while it was filmed with bystanders.
