  • Question about Swagbucks

Does anyone on this forum have experience with Swagbucks?

How much time/effort does it take to earn $100 in say Walmart gift cards?

Bottom line: Is Swagbucks worth the effort?

Yes, I'm familiar with Swagbucks. I have probably earned $1000 in gift cards, but over a period of several years. I stopped doing it entirely because I really needed to focus on being more active rather than sitting on the couch clicking things. It is legit, and you can probably search around on my SA blog for posts I wrote about.

It definitely can be a time suck, but if you are sitting watching TV anyway it can be a way to earn some side cash.

I've made about $75 in gift cards a month when I've put in the time and effort, but unless you are really going to work at it it is far more likely to earn about $25 a month. And that's with the tasks that you don't have to buy anything for, like getting so many swagbucks for dollars spent at certain retailers they have partnerships with. If you wanted to put in at least 2 hours a day, you might hit $100 in a month, but your time doing it would only be worth $1.50 or so an hour. There are only so many passive things you can do with SB. The ones worth real amounts of swagbucks are surveys and those require active time.

So if you have the time to devote to it you could likely do it, but is it worth that time? Only you can answer that. I ususally stick with the passive earning stuff, like having SBTV running in the background with the sound off.
