    What were your impressions of the f355? Did you have the standard or F1 tranny?

    IMO that is one of the most elegant Ferraris of all time. Though they did have some expensive fixes - valve guides and headers.

        It was a pretty sweet ride, and definately looked the business. I only rode a handful of times. He offered the keys but I never felt comfortable enough to take him up on that offer.
        The owner described it as temperamental but liked its "character", something that new Ferrari's he claims lack... along with a soul. He's a strange dude. It was a standard.

            I probably have you all beat. I bought a used Chrysler mini-van from my parents for $1.00 (actually 4 quarters). We drove it for about 5-6 years. The dealerships wouldn't give my step-father what he thought the car was worth, so he figured he would sell it to me instead.

            I can only ride comfortably in a Chrysler/Dodge mini-van because of my fake knees they are the perfect height for me to get in and out.

              My first car was a Ford Fiesta 78 cost $1000 my senior year in HS. Love this car sometimes miss it.
