I do. Now, after Googling for 20 seconds.

I knew I had a coupon, but I didn't know I had the same one. I was hoping for a credit with my $32 purchase and $3 buy each month moving forward. Unfortunately, the maximum discount is $3. My insurance won't cover Crestor now that it is generic, so I will continue to have to pay $32 a month; $32 is net amount with coupon discount applied to the price.
I really appreciate you posting this. Sales reps are always bombarding me with savings card offers for their product. I'm always a bit skeptical about the sales pitch. This is a perfect example. What they tell me is, "Commercially insured patients can get Crestor for $3 per month." What that really means is "as little as $3 per month." In your case, that means $32, which is a whole lot more than $3.

The fine print says, "will pay $3 for a 30-, 60-, or 90-day supply, subject to a maximum savings of $65 per 30-day supply." So the coupon isn't to get the med for $3. The coupon is to get $65 off. The only way that would cost you $3 is if the total cost was $68. I'm definitely mentioning this the next time the rep comes in.

Does anyone know what is the generic for Crestor, how much does it typically cost with insurance and does anyone have any feedback about it such as side effects etc?
The generic name is Rosuvastatin. How much it costs is totally dependent on your specific insurance plan. You need to ask your pharmacist that question. It depends on the terms of your pharmacy benefits. Nobody here can answer that for you.

As for potential side effects, they would be exactly the same as those for Crestor. I'm sure you can find the prescribing information at crestor.com.

I tried zetia first to avoid statins in the first place, results were not impressive. I now take the generic simvastatin, no side effects and it worked great. I pay $25 for 90 days. Jan 1 I lose Cobra, I am scared/curious what will happen to my pharmacy costs when I have to go on a NYS plan. Several of my meds came with savings cards but they only worked if the insurance would pay some of the cost. I had one for the new sleeping med, Belsoma, or something like that, because my ins didn't cover it at all, I couldn't use the card. $900 a month for a sleeping pill! I think not.

One thing you should do going forward is to call around to other pharmacies. Since the coupon gets you $65 off, the key is to find the best price. Prices can vary significantly from place to place. Check discounted places like WalMart. Target used to be cheaper but probably not now that CVS took over.

                I recently tried a website called goodrx.com
I put in my zip code and then the drug name and it returns with the prices from several nearby places. It also tells how to get the coupon price.

                I've also saw a link to https://www.blinkhealth.com/
(I've never used this site before--I just saw the link on the Boglehead board)
