What do you budget for movie rentals?

I always see advice to borrow movies from the library but as long as we've lived here (over 20 years) there has always been a charge, first for VHS tapes, then for DVDs. I'm guessing it's blue-rays now. I haven't been to the library for a while so I'm not sure. I think it's a couple of dollars. I don't know the details as we've never done it.Originally posted by Eagle View PostOh? How much do they cost then? I've never heard of a public library charging for checking out DVD's, etc. Is it for both DVD's and blurays?
The library really isn't a convenient option for us due to location. It would be more of a pain and waste of time to go there once to pick it up and go back to return it.Steve

I'm a sports-a-holic, so I never watch movies at home. However once or twice a month I ride the junket buses to my local casinos and when I do, I go to the Redbox first to rent a DVD for the bus ride to view on the bus' DVD system for everyone to watch. Redbox's DVD rental is $1.50 plus tax or Blue Ray is $2.50'ish per rental day.
