  • My post gets removed why?

I recently posted something that I thought was a good deal: bank west free offers.

I'm not associated with them in any way besides being a customer and I'm not making any money on the deal; it is just an awesome deal to save money for many people. In fact, the link is just a copy and paste from google search.

Is there is reason? because I'm not notified of why it's removed.
    TIA

    I didn't remove it.

One of the other mods may have thought it was spam and deleted it.

      It wasn't me.

If our moderators didn't remove it, then perhaps you forgot to hit the submit button. Have you already re-posted your topic?

Don't really care who deleted it or who didn't.
Just would like to know the reason; why post a good deal (future) when it will just get deleted.

It's impossible to give a reason why unless you can explain specifically what you posted. I'm guessing you posted a link to something?

It was some bank giving pretty generous free money, trades, etc. to open an account with them. I was pretty excited about the deal (almost $2k free money for me each year), now that time has passed my urge to post is less.

Yes, I posted a link to that bank's web site.

NP, I just think if a member's post is deleted, it would be nice to offer some type of explanation. But I don't know the workings of this forum.

If you gather the interest or urge repost it.

A reason will be given if someone "soft deletes" it. But if someone does a permanent delete, then all traces of it will disappear.

If I had the time, and if I got paid for this, I'd gladly send a PM to everyone for every post that they made that I deleted. But.........

I saw it. It was for Bank of the West investments. The $2000 bonus was for high income individuals depositing something like $3,000,000. Not many of us here would have qualified for the $2000 bonus anyway. The majority of us would get the lowest tier of something like $10 for a $50,000 deposit.

Sadly since this post you regained your urge to post.

It's not $3m. It is a range where the more you deposit the more you get. I forget the amounts, but I think the promotion is over. You can check by going to Banc West (investment branch) web site.

Having used their web interface, I can say that it isn't as good as TD Ameritrade, ETrade, and Scottrade. But at least the execution is very fast and free.
