Based on what? Every scientific source has debunked that theory. When every legitimate source says there is no evidence of something and people continue to believe it, that's pretty much the definition of a conspiracy.

We (not just me - I'm not the only moderator or administrator of this site) don't censor someone for having different views. We DO censor people for posting things that are racist, bigoted, or otherwise felt by the team to be offensive. So right after the OWNER of this site made a post about words mattering probably wasn't the best time to respond with a couple of racist cartoons.

greenskeeper, you are 100% correct that COVID-19 was first identified in China. No argument there at all. But picking your own name for the virus and refusing to use the actual name, even after being told repeatedly that the term you are using is offensive, isn't acceptable.

Hey Greens, just wanted to take a moment to weigh in. I asked Disneysteve to make the edits here. I wanted to add a note of explanation. We did not make the decision lightly. I personally share your views on censorship and find it distasteful - nobody likes to have their posts edited, nobody.

Second, your views are important and I think your points merit discussion. Your post count is outstanding and my belief is that you offer a substantial contribution to the forums.

I made the decision because the country is going through a crazy time right now. Frankly its important to keep the forums as an oasis of respectful sanity that doesn't contribute to people having a bad day.
