it was $55 a day plus all his penalties for non-payment, over $10,000. All because he didn't get some people together and push the car into his private driveway or even had it towed. Lives in Boston with a private parking spot, pays 10k to let car linger right 20 feet from it.
(I don't often get to use that smilie.)

that was my face as I opened letters saying 'respond or jail time may occur'. Who does this kind of crap? It's insane. He could've bought a used car that runs with that money.
The only "accessories" I got were a screen protector and a custom color plastic back. I'm kind of baffled on how people can justify a new phone every couple years. Mine is going on 3 now with no issues.
My dad bought me an Otterbox when I first got my phone. He read reviews and talked to friends who had them and was convinced it was the way to go. I hated it. It made the screen a lot less responsive, and it made the phone harder to fit in my purse or pocket. Luckily, my dad had the same model phone, and wasn't hurt when I suggested he just keep it for his phone. He loves it, but it's not for me.
I ended up with a 3-pack of plastic screen protectors and a minimalistic hard plastic case. I've dropped my phone a few times. A couple of those times were onto the cement floor of my garage. I'm probably just lucky, but I've yet to do any more than chip or scratch the case.
Of course, I'm also baffled by all of the people I see letting their toddlers play with their smartphones. Sorry, kid, but I wouldn't let you anywhere near my iPhone.
I'm guilty of letting my toddler play with my iPhone. It's been one of her favorite objects to pick up since she learned to pick things up. I tried getting her a toy phone, but she prefers the real deal. I figure that she's a lot closer to the ground than I am, so my phone probably safer in her hands than in mine.

Mine was going on 3 years and would no longer hold a charge longer than a few hours. And even though I cleaned it out of clutter, it was still close to full after the latest software update. I'd be happy with one that lasts more than 3 yrs, I'm hoping this one does.
I found a pretty "leather" case on Amazon for $8, pink/coral colored so should match the pretty rose colored phone, like that matters. It's cool, it can be just a regular old case or it can snap into this wallet case so you can carry your wallet stuff and not carry a purse. I've had wallet ones but not ones that give you both options.
I do drop my phone. It isn't purposeful, but I often put my phone on my lap in the car and when I get out, well, I have forgotten it is there.
I am getting much better, but it still happens.
I have an Otterbox and always will. A $25 investment to protect a few hundred dollars is worth it to me and I don't care how "ugly" it is as long as it is functional and protects.
it turned out my son's friend works at Cricket, so when his boss was in the office, he sold us some accessories at his cost. The tempered glass ended up being super cheap and he put it on for me.
I found the perfect for me case. I like a wallet case, but often the magnet is too weak and it flops open. I found one with stronger magnets. It also comes as a plain old case you would carry around but that whole case then can snap into that wallet case. Best of both worlds, no wallet case when I'm carrying my purse, use the wallet case when not carrying a purse. Best case I've ever had.
Honestly i like the life proof cases. I don't mind the design of them at all and they are actually extremely protective. I probably have dropped my phone over 30 times and there's still nothing wrong with it.
A lot of glass today can hold up to scratches fine, so a screen protector is pretty much unnecessary. However, if you have jewelry and handle your phone with that hand, you could end up scratching the glass. A screen protector is very cheap "insurance" that keeps the screen under intact.
FWIW, I put a screen protector on my phone before I even touched the screen. The protector has a light haze due to usage, so it will be replaced soon.
I suppose screen protector is a must! tempered glass - is the best one.
Well...phone cases are always indispensable in case you want to refresh your phone. Just a simple way to add something new to the ordinary look)
I just bought a new phone. I always used to put a film over the screen, my brother says do tempered glass ($20 at a mall kiosk) or just be careful. Has anyone else done tempered glass?
I know Otterbox is a great phone protector but they are so ugly and bulky, I don't want one.
Do you have a case you love or a good site where you buy them?
TIA
I wear my phone in a holster case $5-10 (depending on my phone model) on ebay, and it's mailed straight from China. I can't imagine how they can sell it so cheaply. It's 2 peices, a clip on plastic base that goes on your pants and another that snaps on your phone.
Very convenient. I have been using this type of setup for years (since my Palm phone). I don't know why so few people use it. Ok, probably won't go well with women's fashion. None of my friends or coworks use it; they don't know what they are missing.
I don't use any protective film on my phone because it just cuts screen quality. Phones are pretty cheap these days and become obsolete in 2 years anyway (not that I change phones every 2 years, but if I should break it after 2 years, it'll be almost free to replace with the same phone. But I'd upgrade... they are that cheap.)
