I haven't checked my credit for years and figured I should so I looked it up and was pleasantly surprised to see a jump from 760-808. Great! But when I look at the details it says I'm in the poor category when it comes to lines of credit, I only have 7 and it seems to be reducing my credit. Do you know how many lines of credit I should be shooting for? Time to sign up for some credit card rewards I guess!

If I were you I wouldn't do a thing. 808 is a great score. Having it any higher isn't going to get you anymore favorable lending terms or rates than you qualify for right now. There comes a point in time where trying to improve your score becomes unnecessary and pointless. You are at that point. Congrats and don't worry about trying to eek out a few more points.Brian

Totally agreed with the others.
With all the credit card reward chasing that we do we have "poor" scores for # of inquiries. I also don't keep accounts open unless I am using them, so have mostly always had a "poor" length of credit history. With a 800+ credit score, I just don't give a flip. (There are many other things we do "wrong").
Paying bills on time seems most heavily weighted, as it should be.
