Santana Moss, the former Redskins Wide Receiver, was asked earlier this week, about what he did after his retirement. Santana Moss responded by saying: "It was boring, i couldn't figure out what i wanted to do."
Actually boredom is a freal problem in retirement from what I read. There are reports of people turning to self-destructive type behaviors after retirement.
I can see retirement being extremely boring if you are on preservation mode...as in you are trying your best to make your retirement fund last. This means a lot of tv watching.
Now if you have a gigantic retirement account, this means traveling the world! I would love to country hop and live in any city of my choosing for one month at a time!
I worry that I will sleep all the time. I melt glass for fun and entertainment - I am semi-retired in that I work half a year and collect SS. Once I started collecting SS, I started shoving an equivalent amount into my TPS so there was not a real increase in income.
Since I use my microwave to melt the glass into molds, my costs are low.
