  • Already Paid 2019 Taxes

2018 Was my first year of full retirement but we still had some windfalls of money come in from selling a business. Had been making pretty hefty quarterly tax payments, plus another lump sum at year end to settle up.
Since I no longer have income from a job, we are living off of income producing property and investment dividends, plus the check book / savings for anything else needed. I'm too young for Social Security, and don't need to take income from the 401K or other retirement accounts yet, so when I calculated anticipated 2019 income and sent the info to my CPA, we got off with less taxes than I've paid in years. He gave me the quarterly calculations and to make things easy we just paid it all if full to be done with it.

Kind of nice to have that out of the way. I'm sure there will be a little year end adjustment, but probably not large.
