    this is kind of a random rant - i like cooking, but really dislike getting kitchen stuff as presents. Again it's the "if i needed it, i would have it", and kitchen space is kinda limited, so it kinda sucks having the ________ which I'll never use or duplicates what something I already have does. lol

    @disney - sometimes i do the same thing, I'll be in the store thinking the price is kinda crazy! I look online and its 50% cheaper, so I end up ordering online. But yeah, it's a really good deal if you can find something locally that beats online!

      We're mostly past that stage of our lives but in the past we often gave each other kitchen items as gifts - KitchenAid mixer, chef's knife, professional-grade cookie sheets, etc. But in every case, it was something the other person wanted and was usually involved in selecting.
