    Like@Plan, wish we could share our anxiety too with those who don't care. Yet those who don't plan complain big time when something unexpected comes up and how unfair life is and on and on and on.

      I agree that so many of our actions and anxieties can be traced back to childhood. There are a lot of easy, no cost coping mechanisms. As a youngster I was advised to workout a positive, detailed, self message, almost a manta to tell myself when anxious or frightened somewhat like phantom explains. I've also found exercise diverts anxiety and by the time I return from swimming or running the dog, the issue no longer feels overwhelming.

      I've found it fast and easy to put the concocted self message on my cell phone so that small details are quickly visible. Would you be willing to try it? If you find yourself feeling anxious about a financial decision, SA seems a safe place to vent or see what other savers suggest.
