  • Extra Money

I am 21 years old, and I have some money that I would like to invest. I read up on how you have to start young for your retirement.. I was thinking adding 2000k a year for 10 years (then let sit for another 20) to the Vanguard s&p ETF (VOO). Would you think that's a good investment? are there better options?

The best place to start would be with your company sponsored retirement account if there is one. If they have any amount of amount of match, you should at least put that amount in.

As long as you have your emergency fund, then you can start investing into an IRA.
