I'm not quite sure as we haven't had to do it yet. The only class she had this fall that required an access code was Italian and we bought that book and code new.

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

Thanks for responding, DS. I'm sure we'll get our feet wet in the fall and know more then!

Typically, you can purchase access codes separately from the book publisher. It is usually cheaper to buy a used book or rent one and purchase the access code.

Sold a second book today on Amazon. After shipping and fees, I'll get $23.75. We paid $18.99 for it originally so we're actually making a few bucks on the deal. Can't beat that.

I mentioned this on the other post you were discussing text books, but I wanted to post it here just in case.

Suggest to your daughter to pick up text books that others have piled up or are going to throw away at the end of the semester. You would be amazed at how many people do not want tot take the time to go back to the book store and resell them.

Easy way to make some money and put it towards the books for next semester.

              Sold another one!

Here's an update on the progress:

              Book 1: Cost $94. Resold for $54.73.
              Book 2: Cost $18.99. Resold for $23.75.
              Book 3: Cost $8.26. Resold for $4.78.

Total spent $121.25. Total earned on resales $83.26. Net cost of $37.99. I don't think that's bad at all.
