I have furniture that is 46 years old, but it hard goods. Our master bedroom set is 46 years old and our dining room set is 38 years old. I have some antique furniture that is over a 100 years old. Over the 46 years, we only had 3 sofas! If you buy quality which does not mean expensive, it lasts.

Just the opposit w/my 2 DDs. I cannot count the times they have sat at my dine rm table picking out/arguing over the pieces each wants.

When my Dad wsold his condo DD2 took his dine rm set. It originally belonged to my maternal grandmother. At this point that is also a true antique or within 5 years of being one.
