I don't normally care for arbitrary stuff like this, but I do find it amusing that, according to your equation, I am in the 300 percentile. Of course, the problem is I don't have a lot in terms of absolute value. That's the "flaw" if you will, because if I have been a bum this entire time, but I had $3 in my pocket the entire time, I am still in the 300%

Question: Why would a car, truck, or van not be considered an asset? Sure it's a depreciating asset but an asset non the less.

      Asset
      Noun

property owned by a person or company, regarded as having value and available to meet debts, commitments, or legacies.

This kind of just seems like a grade on how lucky you got in the housing market.

I agree the numbers are arbitrary, but what the hey... I'll give it a shot.

Estimating my wildly fluctuating earnings over 30 years of work, and considering I was an "F" 17 years ago, and lost a chunk due to divorce, and trying to estimate a net present value for a vested pension, ..., I'm probably around 70% of assets to lifetime salaried earnings. That gives me an "A"??? I was surprised , especially considering my lost decade of earning potential right out of college.
