  • Finding financial peace

I'm on a quest to find financial peace, and at the moment I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to find it. That's not true. I know that I will eventually find it, but I'm not sure how long it's going to take. I have realized that I have a lot of emotional feelings that are tied to money, and many of these are good. I need to find a good work in life balance, and get to the point where money or there lackof isn't at the forefront of my day.

Would you consider yourself to be a financial peace? If you are, how did you reach that point? Did you know instantly when it arrived, or was it something that happened over a long period of time?

I think "financial peace" is like "inner peace"...something you find within yourself no matter how much money you lack. When you step aside and think about what makes you happy..and if say financial peace is what makes you happy..then perhaps you can eventually give up everything you have and live on the small income you already earn. Most of the world lives on less than $1 a day, so there's no such thing as "lack of money" in the U.S..it's all in your head.

You should watch "In To The Wild" which illistrates what I'm saying. This kid burned his money and went backpacking because that was what made him happy.

If you or anyone, are the type of person who always want the best, then there's no such thing as financial peace. This is why you have people who makes 500k/year but still ends up living paycheck to paycheck.
