After about a year and a half of looking with not much luck we finally got an apartment! It's a little less expensive than what we are paying now, closer to DH's job, and DD's school, and only a little farther from the job I have nearby, where I will be working four days a week starting next month. It also has a walk in closet that is big enough to use as a bedroom, and has a seperate entrance outside of the bedroom. So DD will have her own closet-room! There's even a big window in there. We'll be getting rid of stuff and packing over the next couple of weeks, and moving in at the end of the month. They also have lots of pets in the building and are not planning to change that.
Logging in...
We are moving!

Wonderful to get an apartment that better meets your needs. I don't know how long you've been in current place but moving is such a lot of work. Boxing everything, making endless decisions about what's to be sold, discarded or retained and then having to find a place for everything in new accommodations.
We've used the ABCD method, 'A' being the few boxes that are packed last, needed most and taken with me in the car. "B' boxes are room specific but needed PDQ. 'D' boxes are once-a-year, memorabilia type. We've always used free, liquor store boxes for food as the dividers keep things from tipping
Wish you well

We've just been checking the recycle bins in the garage and across the street for boxes since we decided to take the place a couple days ago. I also saved some in our storage that we can get out and use again. My husband has lived here 12 years and I have been here for 4. We have a lot of stuff to get rid of, but nothing of any real value, so it will all be donated.
