We're looking into using the Solar City program to install a whole house solar system when we move, but I was wondering if anyone here has ever had any personal experience with them. As I understand it, there is a lease involved, but I haven't been able to find the full details without actually contacting the company, which I am not ready to do. I know that with cars and stuff leasing is always bad, but in this case you lease the equipment at a nominal rate and they maintain it for free. It is far cheaper than paying for and installing a whole system. But it almost seems too good to be true. So I'm looking for real life experiences with it from an outside source, not testimonials from their website.
