Few years ago my sister left her native country and became F1 visa student.
She has been in USA for few years already and seems like she will stay longer then expected and study. During the time here on F1 visa student status, she cannot work and therefore cannot save any money for the SS retirement. Are there any options to prepare for the retirement in case she stays in the USA and gets the green card later via my sponsorship? I filed for her few years ago, but cases like that take forever. She is afraid that she will end up with nothing? Her boyfriend and I are willing to help her and give her some money monthly. She has Us social security card if this matters.
