  • Cheap Entertainment..What are YOUR favorite websites?

I would love to have a list of websites that come recommended. Since 'surfing' new sites is basically FREE, I would like some ideas on what are the best, funnest, most interesting or informative sites out there.

I enjoy this one... and the 'Dollar Stretcher'. I also view 'USA TODAY' each day.

    What are some other favorites?

Well, mine are more house-hold related. I love going to allrecipes.com to look at new food ideas. Organizedhome.com is great for getting advice on household stuff. And I can't forget popcap.com! I love playing games there!

www.digg.com Its a tech news aggregator with a social networking twist. Users link to stories and other users can "digg" the story. If it get dugg enough it moves to the front page.

Recently I found this site that memorializes old Ma Bell and even has a link to a free online book that was written in 1984 about the split up of AT&T. Interesting read and many of the predictions have and continue to come true.

            My websites .

Building the family one often irks me though, because the pictures upload funny. But working on the kids school one keeps me busy and happy. I often have to search for education sites while working on the kids work. National geographic has some interesting things.

Flylady is one of my favorites. I don't do her emails any longer, made me feel too behind!! But a review of her site & principles keep me on track. Not entertainment, but if I follow her plans............I've got time & energy for entertainment.

www.wheresgeorge.com - I came across this site and thought it is pretty interesting. It's cool to see where the money has been and where it is going. My suggestion is to FIRST read the FAQ.

I regularly read dooce.com, a parenting blog. The author annoys me sometimes, but she is a good photographer and some of her posts are really funny.

I also love pfblogs.org, which is an aggregator of personal finance blogs.

I like the kiplinger.com discussion board, which is more investment-focused than this site but nowhere near as active.

bankrate.com, for info on current interest rates, etc

I spend some time on MSN money reading articles by Liz Pulliam Weston and others

Evreward.com (aggregator of sites that offer rewards when you buy something--very useful)

zillow.com and homevaluebot.com, if you like looking up home prices

I spend so much time online because at one of my part time jobs I have a lot of down time and few responsibilities. Not this job--at this job I have to work! Better get back to work now.

                              Isn't zillow.com the coolest thing ????

I was there just the other day looking up the prices of houses in my neighborhood. he he! Cool beans!!

Zillow gives you a REAL satellite photo of any neighborhood and these little price tags pop up over each little house.... so you can see what all your neighbor's houses are worth...

                              Talk about spying!

Uh oh yeah - it's a good tool for real estate investing too...!
