In deference to Friday the 13th and this site, I decided to find thirteen superstitions about money. As you can see for numbers 7 & 9, finding money on the side of the road would be quite a dilemma if one parent was from Argentina and the other from Trinidad and Tobago. And while I would like to earn money, I don't think that the superstition number 13 is the way I would like to have it be announced to me
1) If the palm of your right hand is itchy, this foretells that money is coming to you, but don't scratch it as that will stop the money from coming. If its your left palm that is itchy, then by all means scratch away since it means that you'll soon be paying out money for something.
2) Giving a wallet to someone as a gift without some token money in it will bring that person bad luck.
3) A bee landing on your hand means that money will come to you.
4) Money attracts money, so never leave your pockets, purses or wallets completely empty and never completely empty your bank account. Always have at least a coin or two. (Greece)
5) At a market place, the amount of money you will spend should be thrown on the kiosk; this action brings good luck. (Turkey)
6) Placing a piece of snake skin into your wallet will help you become rich or find money. Snakes are a symbol of money and wealth in Japan. If you kill a snake, you will lose your money. (Japan)
7) If you find money, even if it's only 1 cent, it means you'll receive more money. If you are walking in the street and you see money, you should always have to pick it up as it will bring you more money The money must not have an owner, and you must never spend it. (Argentina)
8) If you put your handbag on the floor/ground you will never have money. (Trinidad and Tobago)
9) Do not pick up money you find in the road - it could have evil spirits or worries on it. (Trinidad and Tobago)
10) If you see a brown spider in your house, you will get money. (Trinidad and Tobago)
11) If you see a brown grasshopper in your house you will get money, but if you see a green grasshopper in your house, you will lose money. (Trinidad and Tobago)
12) Placing corn and bread near money will bring you prosperity. (Trinidad and Tobago)
13) When excrement of a bird falls on the head, it means that the person is lucky and will earn money. (Turkey)
