I buy my yearly calander/agenda books, greeting/holiday/birthday,etc. cards .50 cents each, some cleaning supplies, gift bags, I found lots of fun things to make christmas wreaths out of...sold LOTS of them at a holiday bazaar, I have found knitting yarn (exact name brand as sold at Michael's), they had holiday spices this year (pumkin pie spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc), decks of cards...and much more.

My kids get their movie candy there before going to the show.

I've found cute paper products for baby showers and birthdays...

I think there are quite a few good deals there...you just have to look carefully and keep an open mind. The dollar store may not be for everyone...but it works quite well for those who need it. Are you going to find top quality merchandise for $1, obviously not...but IMO you don't always need top quality to get the job done.

pony tail holders for Ale...she loses them anyway, so $1 for 60 pony tail holders makes more sense than $2 each for fancy ones!

pinata party favors! ...I find amazing stuff, nicer looking than the ones sold at the "Party Palace" for a fraction of the cost...probably the same quality, which means it won't last a week after the party...

Yes. I purchase laundry detergent, tp, soap, wrapping paper, and anything else disposable. For day-to-day disposable stuff, you can't beat the Dollar General or The Dollar Store.

Greeting cards, candles, deodorant, ice cream, soda, cookies, envelopes, cleaning supplies, panties, Sue Bee chicken and dumplings (hubby's favorite brand), paper clips, storage bags, pots and pans, seasonings, padded envelopes, men's and ladies socks, Jovan Musk Oil, fragrances, toothpaste, mouthwash, detergent, planters, batteries, paper towel, toilet tissue......and many many other products!

I mainly buy plastic containers, birthday party decorations, gift bags, greeting cards, ear buds, and cleaning supplies. I Love Dollar Tree Store for most of their stuff..It is cheap and affordable. I've a friend who always criticize Dollar Store. I don't like hersaying that over and over again..'If you do not like , just do not go there" That is what i want to tell her.
The one thing I noticed is that one time when I bought Aquafresh Tooth pastefrom DT, it tasted very different from the one I usually get from local store.
I doubt if it was an old stock or may be a bad lot something..I'm not sure.

wrapping paper, blank note cards, i've bought a couple kitchen utensils (big spoons, big plastic bowls) there when I first got an apartment.

Kitchen supplies and seasonal items (like Christmas stuff)! I love going there. When I move into my new plave next month Im going to go crazy with a $20

I always buy the cheap 50 cent birthday cards there. Plus I buy manilla envelopes and batteries. Before I started this diet, I bought my favorite cookies there, a package for $1. I have bought some cute baby outfits for gifts. Instead on one outfit, I can pick up 4 or 5 for about $20.

Well, we have so many dollar stores to choose from here in metro-atlanta. But, there is this specific one that has jewelry from places like dressbarn, fashion bug, target, walmart, etc. So, you can actually get really decent jewelry for only $1.

Also, I like to get wrapping paper and gift bags because they are the same brand and styles as other places, but a lot cheaper.

Also, the party supply's (plates, napkins, cups, etc.) are always a great deal. Pool toys are usually the same quality as regular stores. I like looking at the book section at Dollar Tree becuase they usually have some fun books. Also, Dollar Tree's craft section is really good. They're craft kits are a lot of fun, and a lot less expensive than going to a craft store.

I don't buy anything real cheap in quality because I am picky. But, I can usually find a lot of name brand items.

Last year my friend bought these coasters from the dollar store and then, we saw the EXACT same ones at Kohls for $10!!!! They had the same tag and everything.

I just scan the various stores looking for good deals.

Oh yeah, forgot to say that after Christmas the dollar stores around here go half off until they have time to pack everything back up! You can get AWESOME deals!!

I bought water at BigLots (does that count) for 49 cents a bottle. Crystal Geyser which I like. I jsut happened to be by one when i went to the DMV.

I go to the dollar store during hurricane season well right before and stock up on the tuna. I think that is a great buy it's a little less than a buck

Sometimes I get great stuff at the dollar store. I recently got a wonderful cosmetic bag that holds the miscellaneous items in the bottom of my regular purse. It helps keep things organized in my handbag.
