why would "buy and hold" be dead if the market is at the bottom. That's probably the best time to buy and hold for a bit.

PS We're just talking hypotheticals. All I do is invest in index funds right now lol. Thanks!

I think the article is referring to the emotional roller coaster of your average retail investor. They are describing what most people do, not what people should do.

Buy and hold is the winning strategy, as you seem to realize.

I just starred and starred asking myself "wtf is this?" lol thankkksss. I guess a 2nd opinion in all that was needed after all. ha.
