Anyone enjoy going to the casinos now and then and if so what do you like to play? My hubby has won 7 jackpots this year. He won 4 in one day! He played Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Last week I played my favorite machine of Triple Diamonds and won $675.00! I got two triple diamonds and a red 7. We throw some of our winnings into HSBC and the rest into the checking to pay bills in advance. I really enjoy playing the games as they are a lot of fun!

I have only been once and it was a lot of fun for $4. We got to dance to a live band, free drinks and watch people losing money. We each took a roll of nickels and took about 2 hours to lose it. It was a good investment for $4.

Now that's what it is all about! You did well playing for 2 hours on a roll of nickels! We love the bands too and the food is delicious! We go to the smorgasboard and we shop in the stores with the points we make on our player cards. I enjoy going because the Falls are nearby; both the Canadian and the American Falls.

Ive never been a big gambler...If you can believe it, last November DH and I flew to Vegas for a week to celebrate our anniversary...I did not gample one cent! (Altho DH did, he had fun and I had fun just observing) I love to walk around and watch...I used to gamble once in a while, but the payout was not worth the anxiety of losing hard earned money...

(once upon a time I would have rolled my eyes at that statement...OMG, Ive turned into my grandmother!!!)

We are casino fans here. We got married in Vegas, spent our 3rd anniversary in AC, and go to Niagara at least once a year. We budget a certain amount each of us can gamble each day, never going over that and always keeping our initial money separate. We go in expecting to lose everything we gamble. Sometimes we do, sometimes we win enough to pay for the trip and then some. The last trip to Niagara, I hit 1k on the Wheel of Fortune Slots. If I sit down, I play "Let it Ride" usually on the $5 tables.

Dh and I went to Vegas in January - lost a little, but had a lot of fun. We used to only play blackjack, but have found that the odds are much better (if you know what you are doing!) and you have a lot more fun at the Texas Hold 'Em tables. You are playing against other people, not the house (the house just takes a small cut of each pot), so at least if you lose, you walk away knowing that someone else is getting your money, not the casinos! We would play for a few hours on $50 and one of us always won enough to cover the other person. On the other hand, you can run through $50 at the blackjack tables in 10 minutes if you don't get lucky. I only play the slots once in a great while, and only for very small amounts. I like to play games that are based more on skill than luck.

My husband is a slot player, not a big one but one none the less. He'll give me a ten and my game is to see how long I can play on it. It seems I never win, except once I won 250.00. I stopped playing. If we go I bring a book to read while I wait. The food is wonderful and I do love to vacation in Vegas, the pools, the shopping, the people watching!

Many years ago, I bought an antique slot machine, so if I want to play, I just go out to the garage and pull the handle. There is a place near us, in Cherokee, N.C. but we have never gone to gamble.

I don't gamble much, but I love Vegas--the lights, the food, the shows. It's such a fun place. But I have to say the reason I don't gamble much is anyone can see it costs millions of dollars to run a casino, and we all know where the money comes from...

Do I lose? Does a duck love water? I am not as lucky as my husband is at gambling as he isn't as uptight about losing as I am. In the past, I would win a jackpot or two but very seldom. I enjoyed the outting and took only a few dollars that I could "afford to lose". This year started out different for us though. The first drawing of the Mega Millions here in NY, my husband won $150.00. We took that to the casino and he ended up winning over 1K. The next time we went (the next month), he won over 2K and I believe that was the time he won 4 jackpots in one evening. it was funny because one $1.00 machine was going off and he put a few coins in the $1.00 machine next to it while waiting for the attendant to come and that machine went off too! I have been fortunate on the Triple Diamond machine to get all my money back this year so far. How long this streak will last I dunno. However, when it ends you can "bet" there will be a cooling off period here. Our bills always come first....always!!
