  • Huge Favor: new area for members

Nate has created a new area for members here that I think will have a lot of possibilities going forward if it is of interest to all of you. It's an area where the members are in charge of creating the information and can continue to update and modify it as time goes by. The first area we have named "trash audit" and it's a place where you can share ideas on how to reuse, repurpose and upcycle anything that usually ends up in your trash can.

You can watch a video to get the basics of how it works

Tips Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose Find alternative uses for things you would normally throw away. Money Saving Tips Every day money saving tips.

Right now we are still testing things out and looking for issues/problems before we begin to expand. What we would love is for you to go to the area, play around a bit, add some of your own tips, create any new categories where you have knowledge on how to upcycle or ones that you would like more information about and let us know what you think. If you add to the articles or edit where you see mistakes (or where things can be made more clearly), you become noted as one of the author of that article. You can also upvote and downvote the different entries, so theoretically, the top entries will go to the top.

While this is the preliminary stage, we feel that if you all think this area is a good place to deposit information and the community as a whole can keep it up to date, then we will have places where we can send new members when they ask questions which get asked here a lot.

So if you have a few extra minutes, take a look and fool around a bit -- then come back here and let us know what you think -- and, of course, feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Do we have to add images? I left a tip, but I really don't have an image to go with it. Is it OK to do that?

No. If you have an image to go with it, that's great. If not, then that's not a problem -- someone else may add one at a later date since anyone can edit.
