Anyone have the (new) Roku 3?

Funny how products like this evolve. I had nightmares of building a HTPC and then loading all kinds of software and then troubleshooting remotes and formats and drivers. Looks like this little $99 device gives us what we need as a simple streaming service player.

And that's exactly what we're looking for: a simple device to watch Netflix on our family room TV. Any real world experiences, good or bad?

Had the new Roku 3 for a few months now. Really like it. We mainly use it for Friday/Saturday movie night. Connects via HDMI cable and the streaming quality has been excellent (thr Amazon prime.

The controls are real simple and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Does this new Roku model eliminate the need to enter personal info and credit card in order to activate it?

I love my Roku three. I don't remember having to enter a credit card number but maybe I did but I don't think so.

We looked at the Roku, but then realized that my husband's PS3 would do most of the same stuff. The only downside- the PS3 (at least that we've been able to figure out) can't stream video from the TV networks' websites. Does the Roku?
