  • Embarrassing Money Moments

So I walked into the grocery store the other day, had a week's worth of food a the register and realized that I had forgotten wallet -- not a penny on me. Luckily the store staff was nice and put all my stuff to the side. I ended up having to drive back home and get it, then return. What is the most embarrassing or awkward money moment you have ever had?

Going to the clerk in the gas station to ask him to tell the pump to dispense exactly $1.73 because that was all I had.

Well, when I started driving in the 70's...that was about 5 gallons or half tank in a Vega.

Overdrew my company account today because I had shifted 99% of the funds to savings. Was pre-paid in February for a job in May, and wrote a check and forgot to move the funds to checking. Check still went through, but got hit with a $35 fee. Going to talk with them to reverse it, because there is plenty of money there, and I have my personal and company account there.
