    I can certainly understand fearing that would happen, but now that it did and nobody was physically injured, it is really the best thing that could have happened. Now she has a documented attack, he has an arrest, and she has legitimate grounds for a restraining order (which again is worthless but it is still nice to have). If he comes to the property again, the police can arrest him for violating the restraining order.

      This is what we feared would happen. Had a male neighbor not runover after she.as screaming and had his wife call 911, she and 2 kids would now be dead.

      Hopefully none of his friends will bail him out.
      Ihope she does the smart thing, files a police report, then a restraining order. Note that a r.o. Does not stop a knife or bullets, so she should also consider owning a weapon and knowing how to use it. If not a firearm, then Pepper spray or something of that nature. At least with the court order she can change the locks and arrest him if he shows up on the doorstep
