We are getting spammed hard this morning. I'm trying to keep up with it, but if anyone sees anything please PM me or report the post by clicking on the red triangle in the upper right corner of the post. Thanks.

I deleted a ton of it until I had to start working. Thanks for your help.

Just curious: does the board software allow something like a 1 post per day limit until a new member's intentions can be assured? I see a lot of lame pre-SPAM posts like "Your post contains many interesting points. Like all concepts, it requires study before one can truly make a decision." that have only one purpose.

Nope. It is open posting. You aren't allowed to post links to other sites until you have been a member for a week or have 15 posts but that is easy to cheat. The other moderators and I do a good job of cleaning up the site, though, but if you ever see any posts that we missed, just click on the red triangle and report the post.

We don't generally delete pointless posts or "pre-spam" until they actually cross the line.

Haven't you added any anti-spam plugin with the forum like StopFOrumSpam or any other, you do deleting of the spam posts manually, it takes lot of time to clear off such a Heck on the board????

Just a general comment, but I think you should delete the specifics of the hurdles one must pass to get privileges increased. Basically, if you don't tell what the "security" is of a system, the system is more secure.

Think about "Ocean's Eleven." If they had not known about every detail of every security device or procedure, they would have failed, and the movie would not have been made. If you "hide" your anti-spam measures, they're less likely to be broached.

"- We are a group of hackers"

I really love the spam we've been getting lately that starts like this. Really? You are advertising that you are a hacker selling stolen credit cards? I guess the really sad thing is that doing so must work and people must fall for it otherwise they'd stop doing it.

Is there a way to report a spam blog? At least, I think it's a spam blog. It could have been written by some poor soul completely out of touch with reality ...

I check new blogs each morning -- if you suspect a blog is a spam blog, email me info@savingadvice.com and I will take a look at it.
