  • Website Issues Apology

Nate and I would like to apologize with all the issues going on with the website. We were planning to move the website to a new server and were told that there would be no to little downtime, but as I'm sure you know, that was not the case. There are still some major issues which need to be dealt with so you may have some issues. We apologize and will try to get things back to normal as soon as possible

    Thanks for the update

I now know why nothing I have tried on my end (e.g. ipconfig /flushdns, nslookup savingadvice.com, erasing the cache, using a different proxy) has worked. Thanks for all that you do and for your efforts in getting this resolved. We love our blogs!

At least I'll have plenty to read when they are finally fixed, since people seem to still be posting!

Hmmm. You provide a great FREE website that we all love and use regularly and learn a lot from. No need to apologize.

Thanks for the update! It's always nice to know for sure when the problem is the site and not your computer.

Truth. Although I must admit, I did go through a bit of SA-withdrawals while the site was down. I MISSED YOU GUYS!!!! lol

                    Missing blog posts

Hi everyone, we should be back up and running now. As Jeff said, we attempted to move to a different webserver. It worked for a short time and anyone that posted comments, threads, blog posts, etc during that short time will probably be wondering what happened to them. They are on that other webserver.

I have a backup of them, if you want to tell me your blog url, and the blog post you are missing I will send them over to you to post up again. Please tell me your contact preference as well, email address or forum private message.

I want to echo my appreciation of all you (Jeffrey and Nate) do. Thank you for all your hard work! (Slowly detoxing from my withdrawal symptoms ...)

I totally went through withdrawal, but I am so glad you are up and running and that it wasn't a hack, because that is always such a nightmare to deal with. I had visions it was that blog spammer we can't get rid of that took you down. Obviously I have a runaway imagination. Thanks for getting us back to normal as soon as you were able!

Did you ever try a DIFFERENT website? If SA is the only website that doesn't work, it's not you, it's SA.

I do wonder why when SA was down, we were being taken to another website rather than just a 404 error screen.
