The only magazine I have read is money by CNN. Any other recommendations for subscription

Money, Kiplinger's, and Smart Money are the main ones. At various times, I've subscribed to them all. The only one I currently get is Money but all 3 are good. I think Money is a little more geared toward the average investor.

    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

JSYK, SmartMoney is now only available as digital. September was the last print issue.

All good options. Another good one is Bloomberg weekly. Articles are short, and it does a great job of giving an economic update and providing valuable news. It is more focused on the investing side of things than financial planning topics though.

I think the Economist is excellent..but it isn't exactly a "money" journal. The content are well crafted.

Easy answer! Consumer Reports Money Adviser. Not cheap b/c it is ad free, but I'm happy to pay more knowing that the advice I'm getting has not been influenced by ad dollars.

I'll second The Economist. For me, it is one of the few pieces of real journalism available. It also gives you a much better picture of the world economy as a whole; not just a view of the U.S. Further, being a foreign magazine, their view of what is happening in the U.S. is frequently insightful, and quite different from what you hear from U.S. media.

In the past I have subscribed to Smart Money and Money. I was planning on getting another subscription to Smart Money until I read your post - so I will go with Money.

I might check out some of the titles you guys suggested. I'm a big reader but I find Money Magazines to be like Fitness magazines—their content eventually contradicts itself and it seems to go along with "faddish" thinking.

Are magazines posted above have free subscriptions?

I checked the websites and I don't see any information.

I have a subscription in Website Magazine for free but they only send per quarter (4x a year), if you want monthly, you have to pay for it. The only requirement is your work should be related to technology and you just register your information, your company and position. I was just wondering if those magazines have same promo.

I used to be a big fan of Money magazine, but over the years it has fallen off to about 1/2 its physical size (in terms of pages), and it tends to put out articles on the same topics over and over again, (e.g., the importance of diversity, the best places to live, how to ask for a raise/further your career).

I have a Money Magazine subscription going right now. I occasionally subscribe to the Wall Street Journal.

I like Wall Street Journal as well. The articles are typically pretty concise, and they do a good job of synthesizing important financial news.
