Ouch, with corn production down 46% and so much directed to Ethanol, food prices will likely rise 10%. I don't think we realize the extent corn affects food production from beef to dairy, chicken, pigs and all the items with fructose. We're guessing gas will stay around $5. gal. [We have pumping jacks just outside city limits & refineries 2-3 hr. distant] but paying $4.44 gal all summer].

We're warned to expect the double whammy of taxes to increase and interest rates hikes so getting our financial house in order is being pounded home.

hyperinflation in this country has real potential with unlimited QE, the corn problem could just
push things over the tipping point. google what is happening to irans currency right now, they
    are experiencing parabolic rising inflation.

I think we need to stop with the Ethanol. It's a good idea, but the technology just isn't there yet. If it weren't for government subsidies the Ethanol business would have folded long ago. It takes more energy to produce Ethanol than you get out of it. In otherwords, it is a net loss of energy to produce it. Couple that with the fact that it is cutting into our food supply to make it, and it's just a bad idea all around.
