  • carpenter ants problem

I found carpenter ants and a big mound of sawdust at the edge of my screen door. We never used the door or go to the back area of the house for over half a year so I didn't notice it until I cleaned the area. I took the sidings off but didn't find damage but I know damage was done. The sawdust could fill a 12 ounces soda can.

My question is what is a reputable pest control company that I can use that has good guarantee of their work. I don't want to pay someone several hundreds dollars a year to spray water around the house and not back their work up upon severe damage or when I need to sale the house.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure about a company that can do it, but they do sell traps and sprays that are made specifically for carpenter ants at Lowes and Home Depot. You could try that first before paying someone else.

As I mentioned in another thread, Cy-kick CS is the secret weapon that most pest control services use. It doesnt take a professional to spray this stuff.

Probably will want to combine that with some kind of ant poison / bait to remove the queen and wipe out the colony.
