who's the most frivolous spender you know?

No worries, Dawn. I was just telling the side of the "frivolous spenders" that others were belittling. I'm not saying everyone who spends like I did was depressed or pitiable (I was the former, but not the latter). It's just that sometimes, the spending isn't the problem. It's the symptom.

But the spending becomes a problem if it isn't stopped. I was just lucky enough to stop before the bills were insurmountable. It's all good now.

I sure do like those new DSLR's though....

Thanks Wino for sharing your story and for showing that frequently the frivolous spenders are hurting inside. Or they may have an emotional problem that they aren't dealing with properly.

I'm thinking of giving my mother in law Dave's FPU for Christmas. Would that be insulting? It really is a pity to watch her do this to herself for the last 10 years, and I know she was seeing a therapist for several years (to possibly address the underlying emotional part).
