  • For those thinking about upgrading to iPhone 5

If you have an iPhone 4/4S and are thinking about upgrading to the 5, you may appreciate this.

A friend of mine bought the 5 last week. It was $199 plus tax. She then sold her 4S on craigslist for $325!. That's apparently what they are currently going for. So she got her new phone, case, adapter and still made a profit on the deal. So basically, the upgrade was even better than free. She walked away with about $50 extra.

I just checked my local craigslist and see a bunch of them listed in that price range. But I'm confused... Are people buying at these prices, just so they can have a phone without the contract?

Wow! Was her 4 a higher capacity storage? I'm still trying to decide what to do. I have the 4S, but the new OS doesn't have google maps. I use google maps all the time when we travel and I'm not sure the new map system is going to work as well. DH still has the 3GS -he loves his phone just as it is, but I understand Apple will not be supporting his OS much longer.
Are you going to get the new 5?
