  • I won $62.50 with a vacation tip

One of the medical sites I participate in has what they call "Practice Pearls" where they ask docs to give a quick tip on a particular topic. They select the top 10 tips and each get 50 points, which has a cash value of $62.50 in their reward system.

Anyway, this week, the topic was Vacations. The tip could be anything about how to get away from the office, where to go, how to get there, how to save money in the process, whatever. I posted a tip about renting houses from vrbo.com rather than staying in hotels and my entry was selected so for about a minute of typing my post, I won $62.50. Can't beat that.

    $62.50/minute X 60 minutes/hour = $3750/hour

Sure beats Pinecone surveys at $3/20 minutes = $9/hour

If only I could get steady work like that. I'd be happy to work an hour a day.
