Favorite car

Whats your favorite car that is economical but still is good in performance and quality?
Mine is Audi A3 1.9TDI because it is a diesel engine which is economical and it has great quality.
Whats your thoughts?

I'd have to go with a BMW 335D...37-49 MPG and over 400 lb ft of torque!

I have to vote for my 2010 VW GTI. I have owned a few different vehicles in my life, but this one is my favorite. Good combination of fun, power and fuel economy.

We really liked the VW GOLF TDI (diesel)

For now, our paid for cars are still the cheapest option for us.
