What is the advantage of leasing a car over purchasing it??
A friend of mine has always leased--says it is simpler, but she pays a down and monthly-same as a car loan, she pays for the insurance-same as owning a car, she pays for maintance and repairs-same as a car loan. And when she is done with her lease, she has to either return it and start over, or pay to own. The company she leases with won't let her re-lease it, because they don't want older cars.
What is simpler about it? Other than she doesn't have to pay the personal property taxes or sales taxes on it (it a way she does--by paying money to the leasing company, as I am sure those are figured in).
