I had posted here how we gave $60.00 to a friend who had lost their work.
They had expensive habits (the whole thing - new car, fancy designer items, new clothes) and were left without any sort of savings.
They quickly got work and no mention of money we loaned, in fact, they are planning an expensive vacation trip - something we don't do. It goes in our 'eating out' fund. That is great for them.
Also, sat there staring blankly as yet another friend lamented their work was on the line and they were worried about finances.
Then, in one of my old posts I mention we helped out with cash with some strangers:
A woman who knocked on our door with a sad story and out of gas car and no money available.
A woman driving around in front of a store living out of her car.
Lesson learned:
Never give to some stranger who knows where you live. She came back here not with the money she planned to repay but asking for more. No go this time.
