My taxes are generally pretty straight forward. I usually buy turbotax deluxe with state.
However, last year before I retired I did a financial makeover to simplify finances. I sold off several odd-lot DRIP stocks that DH and I held. (I took the proceeds and put them into a target retirement fund so that it would be easier for me to keep track of things
).
We don't have any rental properties or any business stuff--the main reason I would spend the extra money on Premier is to figure the cost basis for the stock sales (in the past I have just used an excel spreadsheet to calculate the cost basis).
Has anyone used the Premier version? Is it worth the extra money for what I'm trying to accomplish or does it just add an unnecessary level of complexity to the Turbotax interview process?
