Where to convert coins into paper money or should we start rolling our pennies?

(I kmow, right. ) The two machines sit right next to each, other--So, I told DH what I had read about COINSTAR on this board and he wanted to give it a try.

You can absolutely apply it to your account. That's the whole point. As jpg said, though, once it is in your account, you can't transfer it to anyone else. For example, you can't use the credit in your account to buy another Amazon gift card. That rule always annoyed me because I have a ton of Amazon credit from surveys and I'd love to be able to use it to give gifts to others but I can't.

Thx for the info. Our plan was to give the proceeds to our son because DH has always given DS all the change. DH and DS used to take it to a bank to get it counted for free, but that option is not available anymore. So, I guess we'll just give him the code. DS loves ordering books on Amazon, so I expect he'll know what to do with the code.

That'll work. You can give him the code but once the code is entered into an account, it can only be used by that account.
